Digital support for food safety and sustainable processes in the food processing industry
The programme is designed to improve resource efficiency, reduce negative environmental impacts and increase the company's productivity. In Phase A, which was the core of the Academy of Sustainable and Circular Transformation programme, we:
As part of the implementation project Smart digital HACCP system, carried out by Smartis, we are developing digital solutions for greater food safety, less waste and more sustainable and efficient operation of food processing plants. By optimising processes and shortening logistics routes, we address both environmental and organisational challenges, in line with the goals of the Smartis 2025–2030 strategy. The project is part of the STKTP NOO 2022–2025 public call, which supports start-ups and micro, small and medium-sized enterprises in the transition to a circular economy.
By the end of the project, we will:
– analyse the challenges of introducing and maintaining the HACCP system in the industry,
– prepare an overview of existing digital solutions related to risk management,
– develop a concept of digital support for HACCP processes,
– design a prototype of the application's user interface.
The goal is to lay the foundations for a modern, adaptable and user-friendly digital system that will help food plants ensure safety, traceability and regulatory compliance.
The project is co-financed by the European Union under the Recovery and Resilience Facility and by the Ministry of Economic Development and Technology of the Republic of Slovenia. The total value of the project is EUR 177,785.81.
The investment is co-financed by the European Union – NextGenerationEU, in the amount of up to EUR 87,445.04 (noo.gov.si).
